Two full-size Italian soaps from Casa Amalfi, each 150g, boxed together as a gift. One is Take Me to Capri, the other Blue Grotto — the island and the sea cave inside it.

Take Me to Capri — fig leaves and ivy. Green rather than sweet: the smell of a shaded garden in August, fig leaves warm in the sun with ivy underneath. It is the scent people associate with Capri's terraced gardens rather than with citrus.

Blue Grotto — fresh acqua marina. Named for the sea cave on Capri's north shore, where light entering from below turns the water an impossible blue. Clean and saline, the coolest scent in the Casa Amalfi range.

Both bars are triple-milled and made with Italian olive oil, which is why they lather smoothly and hold their shape to the end rather than cracking into slivers. Vegan and cruelty-free.

Each bar comes in its own printed carton, patterned after the maiolica tile of the Amalfi Coast — blue and gold scrollwork on turquoise, the same visual tradition as the hand-painted ceramics in the store. At $35 for two full-size bars, it is one of the easiest gifts in the shop to give, and it splits into two if you need it to.

What are the two scents?
Take Me to Capri is fig leaves and ivy — green and garden-like. Blue Grotto is fresh acqua marina — clean and saline, named for the sea cave on Capri.

What does triple-milled mean?
The soap paste is pressed through rollers three times before the bar is formed. It makes a denser bar with a finer lather that lasts longer and does not turn to mush partway through.

Are these vegan?
Yes. Vegan and cruelty-free, made with Italian olive oil.

Can I give the two bars as separate gifts?
Yes. Each bar is in its own printed carton, so the set splits cleanly into two small gifts — useful for teachers, neighbors, or a holiday table.
