A hand-painted ceramic soap dish from the Amalfi Coast with one 150g bar of Casa Amalfi's Summer in Sorrento soap, in a gold-lined gift box.

The dish is painted with the coast itself: white and green houses stacked above the water with red arched doorways, a flight of steps climbing between them, gulls over the sea, and a lemon hanging on its branch in the corner. It is Sorrento in miniature, painted loosely and confidently by hand, the way the Costiera has painted its towns onto ceramic for centuries. No two dishes come out the same.

The soap is Summer in Sorrento — a citrus love affair. Zesty citrus with hints of fresh herbs, bright and uplifting, the smell of the lemon and orange groves that terrace the hills above the town. Triple-milled with Italian olive oil, shea butter, and jojoba oil, so the bar is dense and lathers smoothly to the end. Vegan and cruelty-free.

The box lid carries a line from Casa Amalfi: Sorrento, where the scent of citrus blends with the song of the sea. When the soap is finished, the dish stays.
